Welcome!!!!

Hi Gang! Welcome to the Exploring Northwest Ohio History Class. During this class, we will be exploring this great portion of Ohio...this place you call home for the time being. This blog is being created to explore our discoveries about Northwest Ohio as we will learn to write and converse at a higher level of English. You must respond to this blog after each activity and share about what you liked about the activity, what you learned and perhaps, what you would change about the activity. You may respond to one another and add links to interesting information you have found about our topics. I am truly looking forward to exploring the rich diversity of Northwest Ohio, your temporary home, with you! Here we go! Welcome to the adventure! Dorinda

  1. History classes always give people an impression of memorizing complicated names and playing a game of years. However, your class is totally different from the stereotype because it interests students by active communication and interesting tour.
Talking with others means not only express ourself, but also organize ideas and improve argue skills. I noticed that Americans tend to use more facial expressions and gestures, which are helpful to enunciate.
The tour this afternoon impressed me by the old stuffs. The special doors and regulations for teacher implied the history of discrimination. The furnace, slate, simple chairs and luxury windows showed the productivity of that age. Dealing with furnace ash and offering water job are assigned to teachers are totally different from that time in China, when students are supposed to do more work to please the teachers. What surprised most is that people even moved the house to keep the record of education, which shows the spirit of being faithful to history and respecting education.
That's what I am thinking about. If there is anything not reasonable, please contact me.

  2. Afternoon of learning,I like your teaching methods I'm very interested in history。This afternoon's visit I was very impressed, all things are old, everything shows it's historicfor example,Stove, table, chairs, books.I remember most is the teacher to deal with furnace ash, as well as water distribution work to the students, and about the students do their homework in the blackboard。There are 2 unique doors, one side is a girl into the other side is into boys.

  3. Welcome again for two new classmates! Also sorry for being a little bit late. The TLC van is spacious and I enjoy the atmosphere in the auto. The road leads us toward the Nature Preserve. There are more and more trees along the road. When I got off the car, the fresh air and communication before the trip reminds me that all these places used to be wild and not livable.
