The movie The Last of the Mohicans is a powerful saga of the struggle to survive. We can use this movie to analyze what happened here in Northwest Ohio. What do you think about the alliances formed with the indigenous people and the different groups who where interested in this land? Did the indigenous people ever benefit from any of the treaties signed here in the Americas?
When comparing the forts, how were they similar? How were they different? What kind of artillery did the armies use? Did the movie help you understand what a fort at this time period may have been like? Would you have liked to have served in a fort of this magnitude? Remember tomorrow we meet in Lot A at 12:45. Don't forget to keep reading Ten Days in a Madhouse... :)

There is a special detail in the movie that the main male role followed the track of houses and found the Indians. It could be very hard to follow someone if we do not have any GPS. However, people have lost their bearings when they developed more "advanced" equipments. I should keep myself sensitive to feel the whole world.
