Wood County Courthouse

What a cool experience we had today! We had great tour guides and great questions from students. The Wood County Courthouse was constructed in the 1890s and loomed then as an inpressive spector in the the booming Great Black Swamp town of Bowling Green. The Courthouse was built with oil and gas boom money. Do you think it was worth the money invested in it? What was your impression of the building? What impressed you most?

  1. It was a really great trip! The people in that period of time can use lots of marbles to build such magnificent building, it's beyond my imagination. The large court house represents authority of the law, and it's totally worth it. No wonder why it has become the largest county house in OHIO.

  2. Unbelievable!! The building is very beautiful. The court has a jail. So, I think that the court has a dark colored wall and ceiling. But it's wrong.
It has bright colored wall and ceiling. It also has very nice decoration.
I'm surprised at the system of the security. The building has sixty cameras. It was really great trip.
